This program is Whatever-ware - send me something if you find it useful.
This is a small program that allows you to transfer the contents of the data fork of a file into a resource. It also allows you to transfer the contents of a resource into a data file.
It's easy to use:
1. Select either:
Data To Resource (copies the data fork into a resource)
Resource To Data (copies a resource into the data fork)
2. Select the source file - the data fork you want as a resource, or the resource you want as
a data file.
3. Select the output file - it's best if you create a new file, so if anything goes wrong, you
still have untouched originals. The new file will either have a resource fork containing
the data, or a data fork containing the contents of the resource. If there was no
resource, the data file will be empty, and if the data fork was empty, the resource will
be empty, too.
To change the name of the resource, click once on the 'Type' box. The contents will disappear, and you can type in the new name. It will only allow names of 4 characters. If you make a mistake, click again on the box, and try again - the delete key doesn't work (yet).
To change the ID of the resource, click on the 'ID' box. Type the ID number in DECIMAL.
Note - If you add a new resource to an existing file, the 'Replace' box appears. Select 'Replace' - it will add the new resource to the file and leave the others untouched.
